Colloidal Silver

Many people consume colloidal silver as a medical supplement to prevent and treat infections and other health conditions. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved colloidal for this use, but as a supplement, the FDA doesn’t oversee its marketing.

XP versus Solar Urticaria

XP might sound similar to solar urticaria, another rare sun-related skin condition, but the two are very different. People with solar urticaria have an allergic reaction to the sun and develop hives. And unlike XP, it often won’t develop until adulthood.


Ichthyosis is the name for several related conditions, ranging from everyday dry skin to more fatal versions, such as harlequin ichthyosis. There are at least 28 identified types of ichthyosis
